An industrial pump manufacturer based in northern Italy needed a more reliable and more efficient drive for its centrifugal pump range. The Challenge

The Solution

The motor was configured for Italy's 50 Hz grid at 380V/400V and delivered with ISO 9001:2015 documentation and CE marking. Each unit was packed in seaworthy export cases for container shipment to the customer's plant.

Why Copper Wire Beat the Old Aluminium Motors
Copper carries current more efficiently than aluminium, so the same 15kW output is achieved with lower resistance and less heat. In practice this meant the motor could run through a full double shift without the winding temperature climbing as it once did. IE3 efficiency further reduced losses, and the cast iron frame absorbed vibration from the pump coupling far better than the previous lightweight housing.
The Results
- Energy consumption on the pump line fell after switching to the IE3 copper wire motor.
- Winding temperatures dropped, extending the expected motor service life.
